About Kevin
Patient teaching. Real progress. No traffic to a storefront.
Kevin Graves built a mobile studio so students can learn on their own instrument, in their own space, without losing an evening to a parking lot.
He works with first-timers who have never touched a fretboard and with adults who put music down years ago and want it back. Lessons stay practical: good posture, clean sound, songs the student actually wants to play, and a short practice plan that fits a real week.
Parents stay nearby. Beginners are welcome. If a student has an instrument at home, Kevin uses it. If they are still choosing one, he will help pick something that will last past the first month.

What Kevin teaches at your house
Each instrument is taught one-on-one. No group classes, no waiting room.
Strings
Guitar
Acoustic or electric. Chords, picking, rhythm, and the tracks a student already has on repeat — taught without rushing the fundamentals.
Voice
Singing
Breath, pitch, and healthy tone for kids through adults. Repertoire can be worship, pop, musical theater, or whatever they will actually practice.
Starter
Ukulele
A friendly first instrument for younger students and adults who want music without a steep setup. Songs come quickly; technique still matters.

Ages 6–11
Kids
Short, structured lessons that keep attention and give parents a clear practice list. Instruments stay at home, so the next session starts where the last one ended.
Ages 12–17
Teens
Technique plus the music they already care about. Enough structure to improve, enough ownership that they keep showing up.
18+
Adults
No recital pressure. Lessons move at an adult pace — whether that is a first chord or getting rust off after twenty years away from the bench.
How it works
A mobile studio, not a storefront
Kevin travels to the student’s house with a teaching kit. You provide a quiet room and the instrument.

Tell him who is learning
Share the student’s age, instrument, and a preferred day. First-timers do not need to prepare anything.

Lock a standing time
Most families keep a weekly slot. Make-up lessons are arranged when a week gets messy — just give as much notice as you can.

He arrives ready to teach
A tuner, metronome, stands, and teaching materials come with him. You need a chair, a little floor space, and an instrument.

Practice stays in the same room
After each visit Kevin leaves a short plan. Because the lesson happened at home, the piano or guitar is already where practice will happen.

Travel inside the core service area is included. Homes outside that map are quoted before the first visit.

Meet Kevin, check the instrument, and leave with a starter plan. No package required to try a lesson.
Most families
Weekly lesson
$60 / 45 min
Standing weekly visit at the house. Notes after each session. Billed monthly for the weeks on the calendar.
Longer block
Hour lesson
$75 / 60 min
Better for teens, adults, and students working two pieces or voice plus theory in the same visit.

North County first. Nearby cities by request.
Kevin’s regular route covers Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Marcos, Escondido, and Encinitas. Homes in Fallbrook, Poway, and coastal North County are often possible with a small travel add-on.
If you are unsure whether your street is on the route, send the city and a preferred day. He will confirm before anything is booked.
